Yes, it is true, Big Bear, CA home sales continue to get stronger, the small mountain community nestled in the San Bernardino mountains of Southern California has a lot to offer it's visitors and residents all 4 seasons. Right now only 48 of the 904 currently listed homes for sale are bank owned, the average price per sq. ft. has been slowly climbing and the number of transactions (closed escrows) is also climbing, June '09 saw 77 closed escrows, highest number all year and many well-priced listings have multiple offers and some have sold over list price (makes buyers crazy). It is also important to note that more buyers are jumping in to start the buying process because they don't want to miss the "bottom" of the market. Just how can you be sure what point is the bottom, when you are 3 months on the other side, watching prices go up and multiple buyers bidding on the same property.
